Sesheme Receives $24,000 from New Horizons Seniors Program for Financially Savvy Seniors 2.0

On April 5th, Sesheme received a lovely visit from MP Salma Zahid who shared with us great news. We are thrilled to announce Financially Savvy Seniors 2.0– an elder abuse awareness and financial literacy project. The project has been generously supported by the Government of Canada under the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) with a $24,000 grant. Beginning in March 2019, Financially Savvy Seniors 2.0 will deliver information sessions on elder abuse and financial abuse awareness to vulnerable seniors across Toronto on a monthly basis. The ongoing engagement will culminate and 1-day forum bringing together all participant for a learning exchange and celebration.
