  • Plan and deliver programs to seniors, young girls, seniors and newcomer families
  • Booking guest speakers and program activities
  • Support program evaluation efforts
  • Deliver safe and supportive community programs to vulnerable community members in the areas of elder abuse awareness, career exploration for young girls and supports for newcomer families
  • Conduct community outreach and engagement of partners
  • Report on daily program activities

 

Schedule: 24 hours per week for the duration of 11 weeks

 

Vacancies: Position Filled

 

 

  • Execute a results-driven social media strategy.
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content for the website.
  • Attend and support in hosting virtual events and produce live social media content.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the programing team to create a social media calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.
  • Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

 

Schedule: 35 hours per week for the duration of 10 weeks

  • Aid in the development of comprehensive and strategic evaluation of community-based services and programming with a strong focus on families, youth, seniors, and newcomers.
  • Conduct background research for key issues affecting the community
  • Develop evaluation plans to propose approaches, objectives, goals and timelines for programs
  • Maintain awareness of best practices pertaining to program development and community-based research and evaluation.
  • Assist in the monitoring of day-to-day research and evaluation activities.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation tools, including surveys, interview, and discussion guides, and other data gathering methods.
  • Implement and participate in data collection activities including administration of surveys, interviews, observations, focus groups, and other methods.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and data analyses.
  • Record, manage and preserve data in a safe and accessible way.
  • Regularly monitor data quality standards.
  • Assist in the production of content including researching, writing, editing, reports, toolkits, case studies, etc.
  • Assist in grant writing procedures
  • Work effectively with community and team to develop a deep understanding of issues
  •  Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
